Trevor Landreth has been teaching privately since he was 16. After graduating from Wichita State University with his Masters, he became a freelancer in the Greater Wichita Area, teaching and composing for the Circle High School, Bishop-Carroll Catholic High School, Hutchinson Community College, and Wichita State University Drumlines. During Fall of 2021, he served as the interim Instrumental Jazz Director at Hutchinson Community College. Landreth has also taught the percussion sections for the Wichita Youth Orchestras and Wichita Youth Wind Ensemble.
He has performed regularly as the percussionist for Music Theater Wichita, and as the drum set player for Wichita Christian Performance Theater. He has held timpani positions with the Danville Symphony Orchestra, Wichita Grand Opera, Emporia Symphony Orchestra, and Hutchinson Symphony Orchestra. He has also held substitute percussion positions with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia da Camera, and the Newton Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra.
Landreth has studied percussion with William Moersch, Jerry Scholl, David Constantine, Joshua Graham, Ricardo Flores, and Tracy Freeze. Since 2023, he has been pursuing his Doctoral Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was also the recipient of the Swanson Family Fellowship at UIUC for the 2023-2025 academic years. Landreth has also served as the secretary for the Kansas Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society.
Landreth has performed as a featured soloist for the Emporia State University Percussion Ensemble, and the Illinois Modern Ensemble.
